Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with Chicago Region Tenant Representation Group in developing financial models and delivering business strategies to clients for their real estate decisions
Create financial models including pre-tax / post-tax cash flows, net present value analyses, and GAAP modeling to help and support lease negotiations
Ability to read, review, and abstract leases and property due diligence reports such as rent rolls, operating statements, and expense reconciliations
Gather and track critical financial data points for research and negotiation purposes
Ability to create evaluations of properties and sensitivity analyses
Strategize creative alternatives with co-workers and clientsRequirements
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in accounting, finance, economics or related field from four-year college/university
3 -5 years of financial analysis experience in commercial real estate
Ability to interpret complex commercial lease language
Strong financial and analytical ability in modeling and valuing real estate (Proficiency in Microsoft Excel – Financial Modeling is required and understanding/proficiency in ARGUS is a plus)
Strong knowledge of GAAP, P&L’s and Balance Sheet modeling
Demonstrates ability to think creatively to resolve problems
Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments with changing priorities
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills – ability to interact effectively and professionally with a wide variety of internal parties (managers, analysts, sales professionals)
Willingness to work hard in sales based environment
