Senior Accountant - Chicago Loop! at Advanced Group, Chicago, IL

Our client is a thriving sports entertainment company that hosts events around the country. They are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to work directly with their CFO and President. 

This is a highly strategic role and listed below is only a small sample of the job duties for the role. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage and maintain the Company's general ledger accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Manage and process accounts payable and receivable
• Manage and reconcile small amount of finished goods inventory
• Process payroll including HSA, PTO accruals, and other benefits
• Assist with the Company's Financial Planning & Analysis function during month-end close process
• Assist in the development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of internal controls policies/procedures
• Prepare periodic reporting packages for senior management and the Board of Directors
• Lead the annual year-end audit process with external auditors
• Support process for completion of annual income tax filings by external accountants
• Complete all non-income tax related filings (1099s, property tax, etc)

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 – 8 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills including experience with QuickBooks
• Able to manage/complete multiple projects in a highly dynamic, rapid growth environment
