Wanted: Senior Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing - Chicago, Chicago, IL

Established Chicago company is seeking experienced Senior Accountant, due to increase in business and promotion.  Position reports directly to and works closely with the Controller.  Work independently, but with the support of a team.  Professional, upbeat environment.  Great opportunity for knowledgeable accountant who would like to be in a highly visible role and get involved with many special projects and initiatives. 

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with Controller on month-end and year-end close, including adjustments/reclasses, budgeting, and reporting
• Account reconciliations including balance sheet & income statement
• Journal entries
• Amortization and accrual schedules
• Financial reporting, ad hoc reporting 
• Trial balance
• Cash flow and variance analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, Accounting or Finance preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of recent, relevant experience
• Proficiency in Excel is a must; integrated accounting software package is a plus (Great Plains, SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ideal candidate will have CPA complete or in progress
